1. A Lid Gripper

Just wrap a relatively thick rubber band around a jar lid to get a better grip to make it easier to open.

2. Limit a liquid pump

If your usual soap dispenser squirt out more soap than you would like then you can restrict the amount pumped by using a rubber band. Simply wrap a rubber band around the dispenser to stop the handle short and limit the flow.

3. Stabilize a cutting board

Rubber bands can be used to stop your chopping board from sliding around. Just wrap a rubber band around each end and now it will hold steady as you cut.

4. No-Slip Hangers

Plastic and wooden cloth hangers can be quite slippery. Wrap rubber bands around the ends of hangers to prevent clothes from slipping off.

5. Spoon Saver

Prevent your spoon from falling into a bowl of soup. Take a rubber band and wrap it around the upper part of the spoon’s handle, right above the point where the spoon touches the rim of the bowl. No more slipping and sliding.

Stretch a big rubber band across a paint can to offer a spot to wipe excess liquid off your brush. This minimizes spills and keeps the can’s edges clean so you can easily seal it again when you’re done.

9. Remove Stripped Screw

Use a rubber band to remove a stripped screw. Place wide rubber band on top of the screw head then try to unscrew the screw slowly. Rubber band will give you the extra grip needed to get that screw out.

10. Prevent Glasses From Breaking In The Dishwasher
