2. Hot Water
This is the most effective home remedy to remove ingrown toe nail. Soak the toe nail in the hot water for about 20 minutes. This will soften the toenail, hence it becomes easy to cut. It will also reduce the swelling. Hot water also helps in cleaning up all the dust and soil particles gathered in the toenail.

3. Hydrogen Peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide is a powerful disinfectant which helps the skin around the ingrown toenail to get soft. You can either mix half a cup of hydrogen peroxide in water and soak your foot in it for 15-20 minutes or you can directly apply it with a cotton ball to the toenail. 6. Antibacterial Soap
Soak the the toe nail in warm water mixed with an antibacterial soap. Dry the the foot properly and place a piece of cotton under the ingrown toenail. After that, apply a thin layer of antibacterial ointment and wrap it with a bandage. This will help in outgrowing an ingrown toenail.
