Maha Shivratri Special – Yummy Sabudana khichdi Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup sago/sabudana (washed and drained), 2 tbsp oil, 1 tsp cumin seeds/jeera, 3/4 cup potatoes (boiled and peeled), rock salt to taste, black pepper powder to taste, 1/2 cup peanuts (roasted), 2 tbsp coriander/dhania (chopped), 2 green chillies (finely chopped), 5 to 6 curry leaves/kadi patta, 2 tsp lemon juice, 2 tsp sugar

How to make

First soak sago in 2 cups of water in a deep bowl for 2 hours. Then cut boiled potatoes in small cubes. Now heat oil in a pan. When oil gets hot, add cumin seeds. When the seeds crackle, add potatoes, soaked sago, rock salt, roasted peanuts, green chillies, curry leaves and black pepper. Mix all ingredients well. Add lemon juice and sugar in it. Stir it well and cook on medium flame for 2 minutes. Sabudana khichdi is ready to eat. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
