
There are some people that consume as much as three diet sodas daily, usually consumed during or after a meal. These people are oblivious to the dangers that diet soda poses, some people actually believe the hype and think that diet soda will help them shed some weight.
What you may not know is that diet soda consists of highly carcinogenic artificial sweeteners and according to Dr. Susan E. Swithers, of psychological sciences and a behavioral neuroscientist at Purdue, it is advisable to avoid consuming any soda at all, just to be on the safe side and that includes no-calorie sweeteners as well. In the United States alone, it is believed that more than 15% of children and more than 40% of adults consume one form of soda or another and in effect, they also consume artificial sweeteners, such as; saccharin, aspartame, and sucralose.
